What this lane adds

Five documents, on top of the common base.

Acceptance letterKey
Signed and stamped by the gym, school or hospital. A booking email is not one.
Proof the institution is registered
Filed with the authority covering its field. Famous is not registered.
Programme, dates and duration
Most posts now expect six months or more. Short intensives read as tourism.
Enrolment or payment record
Ties your name to the institution and to the programme you declared.
Medical treatment filesVariant
A hospital treatment plan, if your anchor is treatment rather than training.

The number-one refusal on this lane

Claiming soft power with no institutional anchor. Coming to train Muay Thai is not, by itself, a ground for the visa. The registered institution and the length of the programme are what make the file admissible.

Two of the twelve are new or rewritten, and the printed guide below still carries the older wording. A DTV is now filed with the Royal Thai post covering your country of citizenship, or a country where you hold documented legal residence - not simply from anywhere outside Thailand. And every applicant now files a criminal record clearance certificate. The rule in full.

What you get: Five years, multiple entry, 180 days per entry, extendable once by another 180 days.
Government fee: $380 to $475 at most Western posts, $260 to $340 from several Asian ones. Your card, direct to the embassy. Full table.
