1. Who we are

DTV Thailand is an independent visa concierge service operated by Martin Ferret as a French micro-entrepreneur (auto-entrepreneur), based in France. The service is run by a small team focused on the Thailand Destination Thailand Visa. 2. What we do, and what we do not

What we do

  • Free eligibility assessment for the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV).
  • Document preparation, review, and audit.
  • Consulate routing and a step-by-step walk-through of the official Thai e-Visa portal at thaievisa.go.th, which the client uses to submit the application themselves on their own account.
  • Coordination of in-person consulate appointments where required.
  • Embassy correspondence and follow-up that the client requests we conduct on their behalf, in writing.

What we do not

  • Provide legal advice in any jurisdiction.
  • Provide tax advice for living, working, or relocating to Thailand.
  • Guarantee approval of any visa application.
  • Translate or notarise documents (we may recommend partners; their services are billed separately and directly to the client).
  • Submit applications from inside Thailand (this is a Thai government rule, not ours).
  • Handle disputes between the client and any Thai government body once the application is decided.

3. Pricing and payment

The Review service ($69 USD)

The Review is a $69USD flat service fee for an audit of a self-prepared DTV application file, delivered as a PDF report within 48 hours of receipt of the client’s documents. Payment is made via Stripe at the time of order. The $69 fee is fully refundable if DTV Thailand cannot identify a single fixable issue or meaningful improvement to the file.

The Review does not include submission of the application to any Thai consulate or e-Visa portal. The client retains full responsibility for submission and pays the relevant Thai government fee directly to the consulate.

The File service ($129 USD service fee)

The File is a flat $129USD service fee for end-to-end preparation of the client’s DTV application. The $129 is paid to DTV Thailand via Stripe at engagement, after a free eligibility check confirms suitability and the target consulate. The submission to the official Royal Thai e-Visa portal at thaievisa.go.th is performed by the client on their own account, with a step-by-step walk-through prepared by us.

The Royal Thai consulate’s government fee (typically $260-$475 USD, with documented outliers such as Wellington at approximately $1150 USD) is paid by the client directly to the consulate on the e-Visa portal at the submission step, using the client’s own credit or debit card. DTV Thailand does not collect, hold, or pass through the government fee.

Government fee - informational, not contractual

Because the government fee is paid by the client directly to the embassy, DTV Thailand does not lock or guarantee that fee. The fee in effect at the time the client submits via the portal is the fee charged by the consulate. We provide the most current consulate fee schedule in the engagement email as an informational estimate only. If the consulate updates its fee between engagement and submission, the client pays the fee in effect on the portal at the moment of submission.

Payment processing

The $129 and $69service fees are processed by Stripe, Inc. Stripe’s terms of service apply to that transaction. We accept major credit and debit cards. The government fee transaction is processed by the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs through their official e-Visa payment system at thaievisa.go.th. The terms governing that transaction are set by the Royal Thai government, not by us.

4. Refund policy

The Review

If the client cancels their order before we have opened the file and begun the audit, the $69 service fee is refunded in full.

Once the audit has started - meaning we have opened the file and begun reviewing the client’s documents - the $69 service fee is non-refundable. The work is consuming operator time at that point.

Once the audit PDF has been delivered, the service is considered rendered and is non-refundable.

Exception: if, after auditing, DTV Thailand cannot identify a single fixable issue or meaningful improvement to the file, the $69 service fee is refunded in full as a goodwill measure - even though the audit work has been performed.

The File

Within 48 hours of payment and before document collection has begun: the client may cancel and receive a full refund of the $129 service fee paid to DTV Thailand.

After document collection has begun and before submission: the service fee is non-refundable, as it covers preparation work performed. The government fee is not held by us, so no government-fee refund is due from us; the client may elect not to authorise the government-fee payment at submission, at which point the application does not proceed.

After submission to the consulate: the government fee has been charged by the embassy directly to the client’s card and is non-refundable by the embassy regardless of outcome, including in cases of refusal, withdrawal, or applicant default. This is a feature of the Thai consulate system, not a DTV Thailand policy. The $129 service fee is also non-refundable post-submission.

If a submitted application is rejected for a fundamental ineligibility that should have been identified during the eligibility check: the $129 service fee is refunded in full. The government fee, having been paid by the client directly to the embassy, cannot be recovered by us.

If a submitted application is rejected for a fixable reason (e.g. missing or incorrect documentation): we offer one free resubmission of the service-fee component to a different suitable consulate. A new government fee is payable to the new consulate by the client direct, using the client’s card on the portal.

Upgrade window. If a Review client decides to upgrade to The File within 7 calendar days of receiving the audit, the $69 fee is credited toward The File; the upgrade cost is $60, plus the embassy fee paid by the client at submission.

5. Limitations and disclaimers

No guarantee of approval

The decision to grant or refuse any visa application rests solely with the relevant Royal Thai consulate or embassy. The DTV Thailand cannot and does not guarantee approval. Any third party offering such guarantees should be considered untrustworthy.

Reliance on client information

Our services depend on the accuracy and completeness of information provided by the client, including but not limited to bank statements, employment letters, contracts, and identity documents. We are not liable for outcomes arising from inaccurate, incomplete, or fraudulent information supplied by the client.

Embassy practice variability

Royal Thai consulates and embassies set their own document expectations, processing times, and fee structures. These can change without notice. We maintain current knowledge of typical consulate practice but cannot anticipate individual officer discretion or sudden policy changes.

Force majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures arising from events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to embassy strikes, government holidays, postal delays, internet outages, payment processor failures, or natural disasters.

6. Data protection

A full description of what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and your rights as a data subject is on our privacy page.

In short: documents provided for review or submission are stored encrypted at rest, deleted within 30 days of delivery except where retention is required by law or for ongoing service obligations. We do not run mailing lists or sell client data, ever.

7. Cancellation by DTV Thailand

We reserve the right to decline service or terminate engagement at any time if:

  • The client provides false or misleading information.
  • The client’s situation reveals ineligibility that we cannot resolve.
  • The client is uncooperative, abusive, or fails to provide required documents within reasonable timeframes.
  • The client’s request would require us to act unethically or unlawfully.

In such cases, the service fee paid is refunded for work not yet performed; work already performed (eligibility check, document review, etc.) is not refundable.

8. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law (Martin Ferret operating as a French micro-entrepreneur). Any dispute arising under these terms shall first be addressed by direct dialogue between the parties, in good faith. If no amicable resolution is reached, the competent French courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

For consumer clients in the European Union, applicable EU consumer protection rights take precedence over the above where they would otherwise be limited.

9. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The version applicable to your engagement is the version in effect on the date of your payment. Material changes will be communicated by email to clients with active engagements.

10. Contact
