“The applicant must remain in Singapore during the processing of the e-Visa until it is approved.”
What the embassy asks you to upload

Criminal record certificate
Your criminal record certificate: the Certificate of Clearance
The embassy's DTV pages, updated 7 September 2026, list no criminal record certificate. The ministry's rule of 31 August 2026 requires one from every applicant.
Which certificate
One certificate, from your country of nationality or of your permanent residence. In Singapore, that is the Singapore Police Force's Certificate of Clearance (COC). How the certificate works
Fee and validity
The police's current page states neither. We quote no figure.
No apostille
Thailand joined the Apostille Convention on 30 June 2026, and it applies to Thailand only from 28 February 2027. Until then an apostille is not valid for Thailand, and no post asks for one on the DTV upload.
Step by step
Check you can apply
Citizens, permanent residents and foreigners can, from age 16, if they lived, worked or studied in Singapore for at least 6 continuous months.
Get proof that it is required
The police ask for a document showing a COC is required, and for what. The Thai embassy's DTV pages do not list the certificate, so you have nothing to show yet. Ask the embassy for written confirmation first.
Apply online
On the Singapore Police Force's site, with Singpass. No walk-in. “The COC is for overseas-related usage only.”
Allow 7 to 14 days
From a complete application. Longer if documents are missing.
Not published
What the Singapore embassy does not say
Its DTV pages have not caught up with the rule of 31 August 2026. We do not guess: ask the visa section before you file.
Which certificate, how recent
The DTV pages list no criminal record certificate, so neither its country nor its age is stated.
Proof of permanent residence
Whether the IC and lease still satisfy the proof of permanent residence asked since 31 August 2026 is not stated.
A decision time
The embassy says to apply at least 21 working days ahead. It publishes no decision time.
Work pass holders
Employment Pass, S Pass and Dependant's Pass holders are not named. Where they file is not stated.
A letter for the police
The embassy publishes nothing an applicant can show the police to obtain a COC.
Self-employed applicants
Documents beyond the ACRA business profile are not stated.
Parents in the family lane
The family page names “spouse, parents or children” once. Whether parents are meant is not stated elsewhere.
The street address
Not printed on the DTV pages we read.
The COC fee and validity
Not stated on the police's current page.
