DTV visa agent: what a good one does, and what should make you walk away

You do not need one. The portal is self-service and the embassy decides. If you want help, here is what help can honestly be, and the five signs that mean you should close the tab.

Can and cannot

What a DTV visa agent can and cannot do

The application is filed on thaievisa.go.th, on an account in your name, with your card. Everything an agent does happens before that screen.

An agent can

  • Tell you whether you qualify, and under which category, before you spend anything.
  • Say which post covers you since 31 August 2026, and what that post asks for in its own wording.
  • Read your bank statements the way the post will read them.
  • Assemble the documents in the order the portal wants them, and walk you through the upload.
  • Help you answer the post's document request, if one comes.

No agent can

  • Decide. The embassy or consulate approves or refuses, and gives no reasons.
  • File in your place. The portal account is personal and the submission is made from it, by you. How the application works.
  • Pay the government fee for you. It is charged on the portal, on the applicant's own card, and is never refunded.
  • Shorten the post's processing time, or the time your own authorities take to issue the criminal record certificate.
  • Get a visa for someone who does not qualify.

Anyone offering the second list is either promising what they cannot deliver or planning to use your account. Neither is a service.

Walk away

Five signs to walk away from a DTV visa agent

Not opinions. Each one contradicts how the DTV actually works.

  1. 01

    Guaranteed approval

No agent decides. The embassy does, and it does not explain a refusal. A guarantee is a sales line, not a fact about your file.

  2. 02

They ask for your portal password

The e-Visa account is personal. A third party logging in and submitting in your name is a risk you carry, not them. A serious agent prepares the file, then stays on the line while you click.

  3. 03

The government fee goes through them

The embassy charges the fee on the portal, on the applicant's card. An agent who collects it is holding your money, and you have no receipt from the embassy.

  4. 04

A price that starts with “from”

The DTV is one application. A service fee that cannot be stated as one number before you pay will grow after you pay.

  5. 05

    No name, no registered entity

A messaging handle is not a business. If you cannot find out who you are paying, in which country and under which law, you have no recourse when something goes wrong.

Before you pay

Five things to check before paying any DTV visa agent

Ten minutes. Ask them of us too.

  • A registered entity

A legal name, a registration number, an address, and a public register where you can look them up.

  • A named person

Who reads your file, and who signs the reply. A support desk is not an answer.

  • Itemised fees

Their fee as one number. The government fee stated separately, as paid by you to the embassy. Never one figure for both.

  • A written refund policy

What is refunded if you cancel, and what happens after a refusal, in terms you can read before you pay.

  • The right post

Since 31 August 2026 a DTV is accepted only by the post covering your country of nationality or of permanent residence. An agent proposing a faster consulate elsewhere is working from the old rules. Where to apply from.

What we do

What DTV Thailand does, and what it charges

Three services, one flat fee each, paid to us by card through Stripe. The government fee is separate: you pay it on the portal, on your own card, and we never touch it.

Our refund promise, as written in our terms

If a submitted file is refused because of a defect we should have caught when preparing it, the The File service fee is refunded in full and we prepare the corrected file once at no service fee, for you to submit again to the same post. The government fee, paid by you to the embassy, cannot be recovered by us. If we audit your draft and find nothing to fix, the The Review fee is refunded in full. Read the refund section.

Questions

DTV visa agent: common questions

Do I need a DTV visa agent?

No. The application is made online on thaievisa.go.th, on your own account, and the embassy decides on the file alone. An agent adds four things: an honest eligibility check before you spend anything, the right post since 31 August 2026, a file assembled the way your post reads it, and someone on the line while you submit. With time and a careful reading of your post's checklist, you can do without.

What does a DTV visa agent cost?

Ours: €49 for seven days of answers on WhatsApp, €99 per applicant for a written audit of your draft, €199 per applicant for the dossier prepared end to end. Law firms charge several times that. In every case the government fee is paid by you to the embassy on top, and is never refunded. Every fee, line by line.

Can a DTV visa agent apply for me?

Not legitimately. The e-Visa account is in your name, the declaration is yours, and the fee is charged on your card. An agent who files from your account is using your credentials. We prepare the file and stay on WhatsApp for the fifteen minutes it takes you to upload, pay and submit.

Can a DTV visa agent guarantee approval?

No. The decision belongs to the Royal Thai embassy or consulate, which does not explain refusals. What a good agent can promise is what happens if a refusal is their fault: our terms refund the service fee and re-file once at no charge. Nobody can promise the outcome.

Which consulate will a DTV visa agent file with?

Since 31 August 2026, the post covering your country of nationality or of permanent residence. There is no choice to make and no faster consulate elsewhere. An agent still proposing a third country to a visitor is out of date.

Is DTV Thailand a DTV visa agent?

We are an independent visa concierge, registered in France and run by a named operator. We prepare and check; you submit. We are not affiliated with the Royal Thai Government or any embassy. Every claim on this page can be checked on the trust page.
